Si è spenta oggi a 101 anni “Rufina” Ciocia vedova Meccola, la nonnina più anziana di Castelluccio dei Sauri.

Una vita dedicata alla famiglia e alla trasmissione di sani valori, attraversando un secolo con sapienza e lucidità: perchè nonna Rufina, all’anagrafe Rufina Ciocia, 101 anni compiuti a febbraio, fino all’ultimo ha mantenuto quell’acume che la sua famiglia custodirà come uno dei ricordi più cari.

Condotta all’altare nel 1940 da Matteo Meccola con cui ha condiviso una lunga storia d’amore, si è trasferita in Canada per oltre 24 anni, ma ha scelto di tornare nel suo paese d’origine Castelluccio dei Sauri, piccolo paese dei Monti Dauni, a cui è rimasta legata.

Cinque figli, otto nipoti e dodici  pronipoti , ben quattro generazioni e dicono di lei –  una donna con un temperamento sempre forte, una vita fatta sempre di rinunce, dedizione alla famiglia, legame con la sua terra.

E’ morta stamattina intorno alle ore otto nell’abitazione in cui viveva circondata dall’affetto dei figli Pasqualina e Maria, dei nipoti e bis nipoti.

Il cordoglio dell’amministrazione “Buon viaggio cara Nonna Rufina”.

I funerali si svolgeranno domani alle 16 nella chiesa SS.Salvatore.
