Il nuovo, vergognoso episodio di inaudita violenza contro un ragazzo, colpevole solo di aver difeso un altro ragazzo dalle offese omofobe, sollecita una nostra ribellione.
È il segnale, se mai non bastassero le decine di episodi analoghi accaduti in poco tempo in città, che Foggia si sta dimostrando sempre più una città violenta, intollerante, razzista e omofoba. Questo di sabato notte in piazza Mercato non è, infatti, un caso isolato.
Ma ribellarsi solo sui Social serve a poco se non lo si accompagna con una riflessione matura, organizzata e a voce alta.
Chiamiamo da subito a raccolta quella Società Civile foggiana da troppo tempo assopita, forse stanca di fronte al dilagare della cultura malavitosa e assuefatta al dominio dei Social.
Si assiste stancamente alla nascita di meritorie iniziative di segno civile e culturale che però durano poco, che non lasciano segni incisivi. Occorre fidelizzare la rinascita di Foggia, con percorsi e azioni di chiaro slancio civile ma tesi a creare una rete di consenso e di partecipazione attiva.
Non è un caso che una città di 160mila abitanti ceda progressivamente il passo a infiltrazioni mafiose e nello stesso tempo registri sempre più, fra i giovani, il linguaggio torbido dell’intolleranza e della microcriminalità.
Ribellarsi è giusto. Reagire si può. Reagire si deve.
