La sera del 7 febbraio 2020, nelle strade di San Paolo di Civitate (FG), un giovane venne attinto da un colpo d’arma da fuoco: le indagini tempestivamente avviate dalla Sezione Operativa del Comando Compagnia Carabinieri di San Severo consentirono, non solo di scoprire l’autore del fatto e di deferire lo stesso all’Autorità Giudiziaria, ma anche di individuare il movente in debiti non saldati per l’acquisto di droga, svelando una fitta e proficua attività di spaccio di sostanze stupefacenti nel Comune di San Paolo di Civitate.
La notte di venerdì 27 novembre, i Carabinieri del Comando Compagnia di San Severo, coadiuvati da militari dello Squadrone Eliportato “Cacciatori Puglia”, da 2 unità cinofile dei Nuclei Cinofili di Modugno (BA) e di Chieti, e da un elicottero del VI° Nucleo Elicotteri di Bari – Palese, in ottemperanza all’ordinanza a firma del G.I.P. del Tribunale di Foggia, hanno proceduto all’arresto di 11 persone (5 in carcere e 6 agli arresti domiciliari) nei cui confronti sono stati raccolti gravi indizi di colpevolezza relativamente allo spaccio e alla detenzione di sostanze stupefacenti.
Dei soggetti arrestati, nove sono di San Paolo di Civitate, uno di Torremaggiore e uno di San Severo. Per ulteriori due soggetti è stato disposto l’obbligo di presentazione alla polizia giudiziaria tre volte alla settimana.
L’attività investigativa dei Carabinieri, svolta dal Febbraio all’Aprile 2020, è stata coordinata dalla Procura della Repubblica di Foggia e ha permesso di disvelare che i soggetti arrestati avevano posto in essere una proficua attività di spaccio, che non hanno interrotto nemmeno durante il lockdown, arrivando ad avvalersi, per incontrare gli acquirenti, della copertura fornita dal bar di proprietà di uno degli indagati.
Nel corso dell’attività di indagine – condotta con l’utilizzo di intercettazioni telefoniche, servizi di osservazione, pedinamenti e recuperi di sostanza stupefacente, utili al fine di riscontrare le tesi investigative – sono stati recuperati circa 150 grammi di sostanza stupefacente e si è proceduto all’arresto in flagranza di reato di uno dei pusher.
L’operazione odierna, con oltre 70 militari dell’Arma impiegati, segna un altro duro colpo alle piazze dello spaccio di San Paolo di Civitate e ai canali di rifornimento di San Severo, a poche settimane di distanza dall’operazione “Family Business” dei Carabinieri che aveva portato, lo scorso 2 novembre, all’arresto di 9 persone negli stessi comuni.
Nel corso dell’attività di perquisizione a carico di due degli odierni indagati venivano rinvenuti 45 gr di marijuana, 70 di hashish, 5 di cocaina oltre a materiale per il confezionamento ed il taglio, nonché somma contante di 140 euro provento dell’attività di spaccio.
