Calcio Foggia, Capuano: “Noi siamo il Foggia, paura di nessuno”

E’ stato presentato oggi 02/09/2020 presso la sala stampa Antonio Fesce dello stadio Pino Zaccheria il nuovo allenatore del Foggia per la stagione 2020-2021, si tratta del salernitano Ezio Capuano.

Corda: “Riprendiamo da dove ci siamo lasciati, solo che ora siamo in serie C, dove tutti meritiamo: tifoseria, piazza e società. Abbiamo deciso di assegnare la guida tecnica ad un uomo come Eziolino. Nel calcio è uno dei pochi che ha avuto meno di quello che meritava, è un uomo azienda e ci darà tantissime soddisfazioni. Abbiamo trovato l’accordo con Ezio soprattutto dal punto di vista umano, noi non ci tradiremo mai perchè abbiamo fatto un patto d’onore di dirci sempre le cose in faccia, tra di noi per i cavoli nostri, poi usciremo più forti di prima sempre. In Serie D avrei messo la faccia io se ce ne fosse stato bisogno, nessuno ci ha dato proroghe per il ritardo. Per me e Ezio la sconfitta è la morte del cuore, vogliamo sempre vincere e per questo porteremo a casa grandissimi risultati. La sentenze non si commentano mai, si rispettano e giustizia è stata fatta, le normative sono chiare, anzi sono stati abbastanza teneri rispetto a situazioni passate, abbiamo raggiunto l’obiettivo dopo un anno durissimo per tutti. Quando andiamo a dormire godiamoci questo momento, perchè poi bisognerà pensare al risultato successivo, pensiamo a dove eravamo e dove siamo tornati. Chi non la pensa come noi deve comunque dare adito ai risultati, siamo in C, il Foggia è andato in C e siamo fieri di questo. Ci sono squadroni in C che partono favoriti in questa stagione, ma a nessuno qui piace perdere nemmeno in un secondo di un’amichevole… vogliamo dare tutto dal primo all’ultimo minuto della stagione. Dobbiamo aspettare i giovani calciatori di A e B dopo l’iscrizione al campionato, tra il 7 ed il 10 dovrebbe tenersi il secondo grado. Il mister è maestro a far diventare “gli asini cavalli” non è assolutamente un problema dover aspettare e prendere giocatori all’ultimo momento, quest’anno saranno gli altri ad impazzire e non noi. Il contratto del mister è annuale con opzione in base ai risultati raggiunti, lo staff tecnico verrà completato in affiancamento a Cau e Carafa… staff medico confermato con nuovi fisioterapisti.”

Capuano: “Penso di essere una persona schietta con mille difetti e qualche pregio, dico sempre quello che penso, la libertò di pensiero è essenziale per l’essere umano. Ho sempre voluto essere allenatore dell’Avellino, sono arrivato lì non voluto bene e sono uscito amato dalla gente di quella piazza. E’ stata un’esperienza fantastica, arrivando nel momento più buio e con una voglia pazzesca… se hai la motivazione hai qualcosa in più, ringrazio tutta Avellino per ciò che mi ha dato e per la commozione di quando ho lasciato. Quando si fanno numeri importanti in grandi piazze cerchi un lavoro che ti da tante motivazioni, hai bisogno di una tifoseria che vive di passione. Ad oggi per me esiste solo il Foggia, di cui ringrazio la proprietà: il direttore Corda, il presidente Felleca ed il Dott. Pelusi… so di avere tante responsabilità. Essere l’allenatore del Foggia, non è come essere allenatore di piazze minori. Sono responsabilità illimitate. Non sono molto tecnologico e per domandare dove fosse l’albergo chiedevo per strada e la gente mi fermava per fare foto… io vivo per questo. E’ stato un grande onore essere l’allenatore dell’Avellino, da oggi invece sono fieramente uno di voi. Se il direttore Corda avesse portato un allenatore normale, si poteva pensare che voleva fare tutto lui, porta un allenatore forte e vuole fare lui la formazione? Due persone forti non possono che andare d’accordo. Uno si può scontrare in tutto e su tutto, può avere una visione diversa, l’importante è che non si tradisca. Possiamo fare un grande Foggia nell’immediato e nel futuro. Due volte sono stato vicino alla guida tecnica del Foggia. E’ un grande vantaggio per noi partire con pochi giocatori, perchè possiamo scegliere con idee chiare, Ninni ha già cominciato a muoversi prima della mia scelta in società. Avremo una proroga e quindi andremo a prendere i giocatori con calma ed oculatezza, abbiamo delle idee chiare e degli obiettivi da portare a termine. Voglio giocatori che vengano a Foggia con entusiasmo, con lo stesso entusiasmo con cui sono venuto io… assicuro a chi ama Foggia che io non li tradirò mai, io rappresenterò loro e chi non sarà degno di indossare quella maglia saprà che in ogni momento essa potrà essere strappata: verranno prima gli uomini e poi i giocatori. I calciatori sono come numeri per fare tombola, non porto miei pupilli. Per conoscenza so moltissimo di questo girone meridionale di serie C. Foggia non può fare l’apparizione in C e nemmeno in B. Io ho rispettato sempre l’avversario, nessuno può dire che non ho avuto parole sincere verso gli avversari, ovunque sono stato. Io mi auguro che voi possiate apprezzare l’uomo Capuano. L’allenatore deve avere la creazione, è importante la tela e i colori… ma se devi copiare un quadro già fatto da altri, sarà una cosa importante ma non una cosa tua. Mi auguro di far bene e ne sono straconvinto, sarà una squadra organizzata e razionale. La società metterà a mia disposizione un organico importante, degno di Foggia. Abbiamo già giocatori bravi perché vincere non è mai facile, ci sono squadre che non riescono a venir su. E’ difficile soprattutto quando l’uomo viene prima del calciatore… in questo organico molti possono giocare in Serie C. Un allenatore deve essere capace di alternare i moduli, negli ultimi anni ho sempre utilizzato il 3-5-2 anche 16 anni fa quando era sconosciuto. Quando arrivi devi adeguarti alle caratteristiche dei giocatori, altrimenti diventa masochismo, costruiremo una squadra col 3-5-2 che poi potrà essere trasformata. Partiamo dal concetto della difesa a 3 dove ho conoscenze notevoli. Per una grande piazza non avere il pubblico è penalizzante, perchè a Foggia sarebbe dura per chiunque venire a giocare in questo campo. Sono venuto tante volte a Foggia e conosco la passione, la voglia e le sensazioni importanti. Giocare una partita senza pubblico è surreale. Ad Avellino ho giocato la partita dei playoff con 8 under in campo, negli ultimi anni molti giocatori sono arrivati poi in nazionale under 21 di quelli che ho avuto. Molti dicono “squadra giovane” per me a 21-22 anni non sei giovane, se ti senti giovane devi cambiare mestiere. Non sono tra gli allenatori che prediligono gli over, non ho problemi. Tanti giocatori prima sconosciuti che ho allenato ora giocano in A ed in B, l’importante è che siano grandi uomini. Questo campionato è una sorta di B con tante squadre blasonate. Parto da un presupposto: più squadre forti ci sono e più c’è equilibrio, meno squadre forti ci sono e più diventa complicato. E’ più facile recuperare punti, non ricordo mai nella storia della C un girone così difficile… meglio perchè non ti senti in C, ma quasi in B. Rispetto per tutte le squadre ma paura di nessuno. Sappiamo che è molto difficile, ma attraverso entusiasmo e competenza ci faremo trovare pronti, quando c’è grande entusiasmo non servono grandi cifre da investire… in questo girone ci sono squadre che hanno speso l’inverosimile e purtroppo non sono arrivate nemmeno tra le prime 3. Il Bari ha investito molto, ma non ha vinto. Ci vuole sempre l’equilibrio, rispetto per tutti gli altri ma noi siamo il Foggia. Il Foggia deve essere una squadra aggressiva, razionale, dovrà correre e soffrire. Andare sempre alla ricerca della palla, andare avanti senza mai scappare dietro: chi indosserà questa maglia dovrà andare al ‘limite della fatica e all’ingresso dello strapazzo’ questo lo prometto sin da oggi e lo manterrò. Il direttore in accordo con l’allenatore sceglierà i calciatori,come accade in tutte le società serie del mondo.”
