Caldo e piromani spingono gli incendi in Puglia dove al momento sono 47 i roghi attivi, di cui 22 in provincia di Foggia, 5 in Salento, 4 in provincia di Bari, 3 nel tarantino e 3 in provincia di Brindisi. E’ quanto emerge dall’analisi di Coldiretti Puglia, sulla base della mappa attiva del fuoco Geamap, servizio offerto e prodotto dalla NASA dai dati raccolti dai satelliti.
“È urgentissimo che la Regione Puglia, in stretto coordinamento con il Ministero delle politiche agricole, provveda a una ricognizione dei danni e all’individuazione delle aree colpite con il ristoro delle perdite subite dagli agricoltori e dagli allevatori che in molti casi rischiano di non poter proseguire la loro attività, anche per mancanza di liquidità”, afferma Savino Muraglia, presidente di Coldiretti Puglia.
Per quanto riguarda il patrimonio boschivo – continua Coldiretti Puglia – servono interventi massicci, attuabili anche con i fondi del PNRR, così come è fortemente auspicabile l’attivazione immediata delle misure previste dal Psr (Piani di sviluppo rurale) regionale. Considerato che 6 roghi su 10 sono di origine dolosa, contro le speculazioni sull’uso dei terreni distrutti dalle fiamme, secondo la Coldiretti è fondamentale inasprire ulteriormente le disposizioni dell’articolo 10 della legge 353/2000, portando da 15 a 20 anni il divieto di cambio di destinazione d’uso delle aree boschive e dei pascoli percorsi dal fuoco, estendendo tale norma anche ai terreni agricoli.
Inoltre è rilevante l’impatto economico degli incendi con un costo economico per la collettività che supera – afferma la Coldiretti regionale – i diecimila euro a ettaro dai costi immediati per le operazioni di spegnimento e ai danni su flora e fauna, attività agricole, ambiente e biodiversità ai quali vanno aggiunti quelli a lungo termine per la bonifica delle aree e per far rinascere tutto l’ecosistema forestale e tutte le attività umane tradizionali, dalla raccolta della legna a quella dei tartufi e dei piccoli frutti, dai ricerca dei funghi all’ecoturismo. Infatti per ricostruire tutto l’ecosistema del bosco e ripristinare le attività tradizionali – ricorda Coldiretti – ci vogliono in media 15 anni.
Per difendere il bosco italiano – continua la Coldiretti – occorre creare le condizioni economiche e sociali affinché si contrasti l’allontanamento dalle campagne e si valorizzino quelle funzioni di vigilanza, manutenzione e gestione del territorio svolte dagli imprenditori agricoli, anche nei confronti delle azioni criminali.
