Balzo delle quotazioni del grano pugliese che spunta dai 440 ai 450 euro a tonnellata alla borsa merci di Foggia, prezzi che non si registravano da oltre 10 anni. E’ quanto emerge dal monitoraggio della Coldiretti Puglia, per cui a fronte di rese ridotte a causa del clima pazzo con le gelate prima e la siccità dopo, la qualità del grano duro risulta eccellente.

Una trend spinto dalla crescente richiesta di prodotti 100% Made in Italy da parte dei consumatori. Infatti secondo l’indagine Coldiretti/Ixe’ l’82% degli italiani con l’emergenza coronavirus sugli scaffali cerca prodotti Made in Italy per sostenere l’economia ed il lavoro del territorio. Una tendenza confermata dal successo della campagna #mangiaitaliano promossa da Coldiretti e Filiera Italia che ha coinvolto industrie e catene della grande distribuzione. Una svolta patriottica favorita anche dall’obbligo di indicare in etichetta l’origine del grano per la pasta sotto il pressing delle battaglie degli agricoltori della Coldiretti.

Le industrie di trasformazione stanno quindi adeguando gli approvvigionamenti e le proprie linee di produzione anche attraverso accordi per aumentare le coltivazioni in Italia. In questo contesto un segnale importante viene dal moltiplicarsi di marchi di pasta che garantiscono l’origine nazionale al 100% del grano impiegato, impensabile fino a pochi anni: da La Molisana ad Agnesi, da Ghigi a De Sortis, da Jolly Sgambaro a Granoro, da Armando a Fabianelli, da Alce Nero a Rummo, da Antonio Amato a Voiello, da pasta Milo fino a Barilla che ha deciso di rinnovare la sua pasta classica con grani 100% italiani.

Ci sono quindi le condizioni per rispondere alle domanda di italianità dei consumatori ed investire sull’agricoltura nazionale che è in grado di offrire produzione di qualità – insiste Coldiretti Puglia – realizzando rapporti di filiera virtuosi con accordi che valorizzino i primati del Made in Italy e assicurino la sostenibilità della produzione in Italia con impegni pluriennali e il riconoscimento di un prezzo di acquisto “equo”, basato sugli effettivi costi sostenuti. Un impegno importante per garantire la sovranità alimentare del Paese e ridurre la dipendenza dall’estero in un momento in cui l’emergenza coronavirus ha evidenziato tutte le criticità del commercio internazionale.

La ricerca di grano 100% Made in Italy si scontra però con anni di disattenzione e abbandono che nell’ultimo decennio – denuncia Coldiretti Puglia –  hanno portato alla scomparsa di 1 campo su 5 dopo la perdita di quasi mezzo milione di ettari coltivati con effetti dirompenti sull’economia, sull’occupazione e sull’ambiente mettendo in pericolo la vita e il lavoro di oltre trecentomila aziende agricole, spesso nelle aree più interne del Paese.

“L’allarme globale provocato dal Covid ha fatto emergere una maggior consapevolezza sul valore strategico rappresentato dal cibo e dalle necessarie garanzie di qualità e sicurezza”, conclude il delegato confederale di Coldiretti Foggia, Pietro Piccioni.
