Condannato all’ergastolo il basista della strage di San Marco in Lamis

È di ieri la sentenza di condanna all’ergastolo della Corte d ‘Assise di Foggia, per Giovanni Caterino, 40enne e unico imputato e responsabile della strage di San marco in Lamis. A distanza di tre anni e mezzo dall’ agosto 2017, un agguato mirato a Mario Luciano Romito, boss di Manfredonia coinvolse la morte anche del cognato De palma e dei fratelli Luciani, Aurelio e Matteo;questi ultimi due estranei alla mafia garganica, ma testimoni involontari perché quella mattina si trovarono nelle adiacenze dei propri terreni per svolgere le loro attività quotidiane. Una mafia quella garganica che la DIA definì la più pericolosa d’Italia per l ‘alto numero di cadaveri che per lunghi anni ha prodotto. Da oggi, le due vedove Luciani, hanno avuto giustizia per i loro mariti, agricoltori del Gargano, vittime innocenti di mafia. Anche dopo la sentenza, le due donne continueranno a battersi e ad alzare la testa contro il muro di omertà, con la partecipazione a Libera l ‘associazione delle vittime contro le mafie. Mentre nella la stazione abbandonata di San marco in Lamis, da tre anni erge una croce bianca, diventata memoria per i due fratelli Luciani.
