Paolo Prudente (Italia in Comune Vieste) esorta la Regione Puglia ad aprire un tavolo di confronto

Il settore turistico sul Gargano rappresenta la fonte principale di reddito per numerose famiglie. Tante piccole aziende, che sono la microeconomia del territorio, potrebbero non essere nelle condizioni di aprire quando l’emergenza sanitaria sarà finita e di non assumere personale che da anni trova impiego in questo settore. La Puglia è l’ottava regione italiana per numero di presenze con 135.000 addetti direttamente e indirettamente coinvolti nella filiera turistica. Vieste rappresenta la prima destinazione turistica estiva a livello regionale con quasi due milioni di presenze annue. Questi dati, in costante crescita, rischiano di essere completamente spazzati via dall’emergenza Coronavirus che, al momento, non lascia intravedere che qualche piccolo spiraglio di luce. La nostra regione, al pari delle altre che si stanno attivando presso gli enti competenti, si deve far trovare pronta. Non possiamo, ancora, rimanere inermi di fronte a quella che potrebbe rappresentare una catastrofe economica per l’intero settore turistico che non ha precedenti nel nostro Paese. Pertanto occorrono misure immediate e incisive per salvare il salvabile. La prima strada da seguire è quella di favorire il turismo nazionale, che trova il massimo afflusso in Puglia e sul Gargano soprattutto nei mesi di luglio e agosto, attraverso bonus per le vacanze, detrazioni delle spese di soggiorno e tutte le agevolazioni possibili che la Regione Puglia può mettere in campo per le famiglie italiane che faranno le vacanze nella nostra Regione. La seconda via da percorrere è quella di incentivare le imprese turistiche a rimanere sul mercato con prestiti garantiti al 50% del fatturato dichiarato nei mesi di marzo/giugno 2019. Il prestito garantito sarebbe rimborsato a partire dal mese di settembre 2020 a rate mensili per una durata base di 30 mesi.
A nome del gruppo politico Italia in Comune, chiediamo al Presidente Emiliano e agli Assessori competenti della Regione di attivarsi immediatamente per aprire un tavolo di confronto con il Governo al fine di evitare una crisi economico-sociale senza precedenti per il nostro territorio. Mostrare interesse, da subito, per il destino di un settore che ha rappresentato – e ci auguriamo possa rappresentare ancora – la principale ricchezza per la nostra gente. E’ necessaria una iniezione di speranza e di incoraggiamento per tutti gli operatori del settore per un progressivo ritorno alla normalità.
