L’associazione dei consumatori uil, subito dopo l’incidente mortale, aveva chiesto un confronto urgente col commissario Magno per lanciare una serie di proposte operative a partire dall’attivazione di una zona30

 

“ADOC FOGGIA è orgogliosa di annunciare che il comitato spontaneo di cittadini sorto dopo l’incidente mortale in via Sant’Alfonso de Liguori ha raccolto oltre cento firme che sono state poi inviate formalmente al Prefetto, al commissario del Comune capoluogo e a tutte le istituzioni cittadine”. A dichiararlo Enzo Pizzolo, Presidente ADOC FOGGIA.

“L’ennesimo tragico incidente, accaduto il 12 giugno scorso e costato la vita a un residente, ha rappresentato uno spartiacque: siamo tutti consapevoli che così non si può più continuare. Come abbiamo ribadito già in quell’occasione, rimarchiamo che l’area in questione, oltre ad essere caratterizzata da una pessima condizione di tutti i dispositivi di sicurezza installati negli anni, sembra essere diventata un pezzo di “Le Mans”: auto e mezzi di lavoro che sfrecciano incuranti mettendo a rischio la vita di pedoni e residenti. Già circa 6 anni fa su questa stessa strada perse la vita una donna. Non si può continuare così, è arrivato il momento di fermare la strage e mettere tutta l’area in sicurezza”.

“La nota dolente di questa vicenda è il silenzio assordante delle istituzioni. È un silenzio che fa male perché di fronte alla mole di persone che hanno perso la vita e di incidenti verificatisi su quella strada, ci dovrebbe essere una presa collettiva di coscienza e di responsabilità e così non è! Noi continuiamo a ribadire che c’è bisogno di soluzioni concrete e immediate: via Sant’Alfonso De Liguori deve essere trasformata in una “zona30” per limitare al massimo consentito la velocità veicolare, prevedendo anche l’istallazione di nuovi dossi, semafori ed eventuali telecamere. Continueremo a supportare i cittadini in questo percorso nella speranza che questo nuovo appello non cada nel vuoto”.
