Incendio al lido “Ultima spiaggia”

Erano le 23:15 di ieri sera, quando una segnalazione giunge ai volontari della Pegaso. In fiamme il noto lido “Ultima Spiaggia” a Vieste. Sul posto i vigili volontari, iniziano le prime operazioni di spegnimento, successivamente arrivano gli altri soccorsi dei vigili del fuoco con un autobotte per smorzare il devastante incendio creatosi attorno al lido, insieme alla vigilanza e ai carabinieri. Uno dei tanti lidi del Gargano che ogni estate fa il pieno di turisti, provenienti da ogni parte del mondo, ieri primo giorno in zona gialla dopo le restrizioni del covid,nell’attesa di prepararsi alla prossima stagione estiva, inaspettatamente le fiamme, un danno di circa 10mila euro colpisce la nota struttura. Non si esclude la natura dolosa dell ‘incendio, il sospetto che si tratti di infiltrazioni della malavita garganica che da anni minaccia gli imprenditori del promontorio, anche se il titolare della struttura, un 40enne del posto, interrogato dagli investigatori, ha dichiarato di non aver avuto mai minacce estorsive. Ad indagare sull’accaduto i carabinieri che seguiranno le indagini avviate per catturare il piromane, responsabile del folle gesto.
