Italia in Comune Foggia – De Rosa: “il Sindaco Landella disponga la riapertura del cimitero”

“Si può sicuramente dare il via libera alla riapertura del cimitero per permettere, in tutta sicurezza, che i cittadini foggiani possano onorare la memoria dei propri defunti dopo due mesi di impossibilità a causa della chiusura al pubblico scaturita dall’emergenza Covid-19. Facciamo appello al Sindaco Franco Landella affinché prenda atto della recente ordinanza emanata dal Presidente della Regione Puglia, Michele Emiliano, e provveda alla immediata riapertura del cimitero di Foggia”. E’ quanto afferma il coordinatore cittadino di Italia in Comune, Gianni De Rosa, che prosegue: “Viviamo un tempo in cui è, di fatto, impedita la libertà di culto. Gli italiani non possono assistere alle Messe – così come chiunque, al momento, non può professare la propria fede liberamente. Tuttavia il cimitero di Foggia, che conta su tre punti di accesso, può decisamente essere meglio controllato rispetto, ad esempio, ad un parco pubblico o ad un mercato rionale, che pure saranno fruibili nei prossimi giorni. Si possono controllare gli accessi attraverso la Polizia Municipale e le associazioni di Protezione Civile, contingentando gli ingressi, nel pieno rispetto di tutte le norme e gli obblighi di distanziamento sociale e di protezione personale”. De Rosa conclude: “la riapertura del cimitero, quindi, non solo è consentita ma auspicabile in un tempo in cui la fede e la memoria sono valori da preservare. E sussistono tutte le condizioni affinché si possa rendere fruibile in sicurezza un luogo di culto e di innegabile valore simbolico per tutti. Confidiamo nella sensibilità del Sindaco affinché torni sui suoi passi rispetto ad una opposizione a questa riapertura che appare decisamente irragionevole, non sussistendo quei pericoli per la salute pubblica sicuramente più minacciosi in altri luoghi che saranno riaperti alla fruizione tra pochi giorni”
