La Polizia arresta due pregiudicati

A seguito di una prolungata attività di indagine, il personale della Squadra di Polizia Giudiziaria del Compartimento di Polizia Ferroviaria di Puglia, Basilicata e Molise nei giorni scorsi ha eseguito un’ordinanza di custodia cautelare, emessa dalla Procura della Repubblica di Foggia, a carico di 2 pregiudicati della provincia foggiana, posti agli arresti domiciliari, in quanto, in concorso tra loro, si sono resi responsabili di furto aggravato e attentato alla sicurezza dei trasporti.I due uomini, di 49 e 36 anni, si sono impossessati di circa 1600 metri di cavi di rame, asportati dall’infrastruttura ferroviaria della tratta Cerignola-Foggia, compromettendo la regolare circolazione ferroviaria al punto da determinare l’isolamento della stazione ferroviaria di Orta Nova (FG).Uno dei due uomini è stato ritenuto responsabile anche di simulazione di reato, poiché ha denunciato falsamente ai Carabinieri di aver subito il furto della propria autovettura, che era servita per trasportare il materiale trafugato.L’indagine ha preso avvio, nell’agosto scorso, quando si era registrata una recrudescenza di furti di cavi di rame nella zona di Cerignola, con conseguenti ripercussioni sul traffico ferroviario, nel delicato periodo degli spostamenti estivi. Gli agenti, in servizio di perlustrazione, avevano notato un’auto sospetta in prossimità dei binari e gli occupanti dell’autovettura, sorpresi, si sono dati alla fuga nelle campagne. Gli operatori della Polfer, all’interno dell’auto, hanno rinvenuto, oltre a spezzoni di cavi di rame anche arnesi atti allo scasso. E’ emerso inoltre che l’intestatario dell’autovettura, un trentaseienne di Carapelle (FG), ha denunciato quasi contestualmente, a una stazione dei Carabinieri, l’anomalo furto dell’autovettura, che, alla luce delle indagini successive, si è rivelata una falsa denuncia.Per gli esiti delle indagini è risultata preziosa anche la collaborazione del presidio di Protezione Aziendale del Gruppo F.S. Italiane.
