Foggia e la Provincia di Foggia abbracciano Luigi Samele e Martina Criscio. Oggi lunedì 6 settembre (alle ore 11), presso la Sala del Tribunale di Palazzo Dogana si è svolta la cerimonia in onore dei due schermidori foggiani, entrambi reduci dalle Olimpiadi di Tokyo 2020. Esperienza nel corso della quale non solo hanno rappresentato la Capitanata, ma hanno anche ottenuto brillanti risultati sportivi.

Luigi Samele, infatti, ha conquistato due medaglie d’argento, nelle prove individuale e a squadre della sciabola, mentre Martina Criscio ha ottenuto un quarto posto nella prova a squadre. Con loro sarà tributato un riconoscimento anche Marcello Scisciolo (nativo di Foggia e presidente del club schermistico Virtus Bologna, per il quale è tesserato Samele), Andrea Terenzio (foggiano e maestro di Samele), Romeo Maestri (presidente del Circolo Schermistico Dauno) e Benedetto Buenza (maestro di Martina Criscio).

All’evento è intervenuto Nicola Gatta (presidente della Provincia di Foggia), la Commissione straordinaria del Comune di Foggia, Raffaele Piemontese (vice presidente della Regione Puglia con delega allo sport), Angelo Giliberto (presidente del CONI Puglia) e Renato Martino (delegato CONI Provincia di Foggia), quest’ultimo promotore dell’iniziativa.
