Assicurare un presente dignitoso e un futuro sereno ai Lavoratori Socialmente Utili di Manfredonia è stata una costante del mio impegno politico, sin da quando, da sindaco e consigliere provinciale, avviammo decine di progetti per favorire la stabilizzazione di molti di loro e si diede continuità al loro impiego, per evitare che centinaia di famiglie di Manfredonia restassero del tutto prive di reddito.
Ad oggi ce ne sono ancora un centinaio che, nell’assenza di un percorso certo di stabilizzazione, rischiano di andare a casa, con l’effetto di paralizzare l’intera attività comunale.
Ieri pomeriggio ho incontrato nuovamente il vice presidente e assessore al Bilancio Raffaele Piemontese per verificare con gli uffici la possibilità di destinare ulteriori fondi utili ad incentivare “l’esodo” di una parte della platea, così come richiesto dal Comune di Manfredonia.
Tale richiesta deve essere necessariamente compresa in un provvedimento che valga per l’intera Puglia e, in un breve lasso di tempo, bisogna quantificare le risorse necessarie, individuare il percorso amministrativo e adottare gli atti conseguenti.
Siamo determinati a farlo ed a raggiungere l’obiettivo, confidando nel fatto che il Comune di Manfredonia avvii formalmente il percorso di stabilizzazione conformemente alle disposizioni di legge.
