Sequestrata piantagione di marijuana a San Marco in Lamis

I Finanzieri del Comando Provinciale di Foggia, all’esito di specifica attività investigativa coordinata dalla Procura della Repubblica presso il Tribunale del capoluogo, hanno scoperto e sequestrato in località “Bosco Rosso”, tra i comuni di San Nicandro e San Marco in Lamis, una piantagione di canapa indiana di 5100 piante. All’interno del fondo agricolo i militari hanno fermato e tratto in arresto un soggetto armato di pistola con matricola abrasa, mentre era intento a curare le piante.
La piantagione, perfettamente irrigata, era stata organizzata in modo da massimizzare lo sfruttamento del terreno coltivato – ricavato all’interno di un bosco – con piantumazioni molto vicine tra loro. Tutta l’area coltivata era stata recintata con filo spinato e occultata in modo efficace, circondata su due lati da una fitta vegetazione di felci e sugli altri due da un bosco prospiciente la collina.
La perquisizione, eseguita dai militari della Tenenza di San Nicandro nell’immediatezza della scoperta, presso un casolare di campagna dove il soggetto arrestato dimorava e che serviva la piantagione, ha permesso di acquisire indizi sul coinvolgimento di altri 3 soggetti, tutti trovati all’interno del rustico e deferiti a piede libero alla Procura della Repubblica di Foggia.
Tra gli oggetti rinvenuti dai finanzieri nella disponibilità diretta dei guardiani della piantagione anche il libro “La Mafia Innominabile” dell’ex Procuratore della Repubblica di Lucera.
Su disposizione della Procura della Repubblica di Foggia, l’arrestato è stato tradotto presso la locale casa circondariale e le piante di canapa sono state estirpate per la loro successiva distruzione.
Le piante – tutte in fase di fioritura, pronte per essere sottoposte ad essiccazione – avrebbero reso all’organizzazione criminale circa 1,9 milioni di dosi da spacciare sulle piazze del Gargano e non solo. I mancati guadagni sono stimati in circa 9.4 milioni di euro.
Il sequestro di questa piantagione, che si aggiunge ad altre tre scoperte nelle ultime settimane dagli stessi finanzieri del Comando Provinciale di Foggia e dalle altre Forze dell’ordine della capitanata, testimonia il consolidamento sul territorio del Gargano e della Provincia della produzione “in casa” di queste piante, su un terreno coltivabile vastissimo, molto vario nella morfologia e nella vegetazione.
Il livello professionale della produzione domestica di cannabis è testimoniato anche dalla particolare sistemazione sul terreno delle piantagioni, in aree di difficile accesso, occultate da recinzioni naturali costituite da alberi secolari, felci e altre piante ad alto fusto.
L’attività di servizio riportata testimonia lo sforzo operativo della Guardia di Finanza nel quotidiano controllo del territorio e nella lotta ad ogni forma di guadagno illecito, tra cui la produzione e lo spaccio di sostanze stupefacenti.
